Working with me is a cooperative process.

I choose to lead collaborative hypnotherapy sessions with my clients because it is a focused tool that doesn’t require excessively long-term commitments or endless weekly sessions.

Individual sessions may be longer than other modalities at 90 to 120 minutes but generally are fewer in number before you start to see change – as long as you continue to practice for a few minutes each day.  

Most packages are 3 to 12 sessions per area of focus depending on my client’s goal.

 

How to get started with Melisa Sharpe Hypnotherapy ...

 

  1. Read the Are we a fit page.

  2. Understand that hypnotherapy works as a complement to traditional healthcare, not as a replacement. If you are currently under the care of a medical professional for physical and/or mental health conditions, I will ask you for a release from your doctor and/or therapist, especially if your goals for hypnotherapy involve support for ongoing treatments. If you are currently experiencing suicidal thoughts – please seek help by calling/texting 988 within the USA (https://988lifeline.org/).

  3. Confirm that you are not taking any psychotropic medications, have no substance addiction, and are willing to avoid intoxicants (e.g. pot, alcohol) before, during or immediately after sessions.

  4. Sign up for a free consultation so we can get to know each other a bit more. You can ask any questions you have about hypnotherapy and working with me.  If we both decide to move forward, we will begin the intake process. If you would like to move forward to take time to think about it, no pressure, just let me know when to follow up with you.

  5. I will send you your participation agreement when you decide to move forward.

  6. Once you have submitted your paperwork, I will send you an invoice for your first session - you can pay via Zelle, credit card or ACH. After payment is received, I will send you a link to schedule your first session.  
     

     

    Introductory Session Rate: $180

     

  7. Your 2-hour intro session is a great opportunity for you to experience hypnosis before committing to a package.

 

  • Your intro session includes education on how hypnosis works, and we will co-create therapeutic suggestions and imagery to help you reach your goal.
  • I will then guide you in and out of the hypnotic state a few times.  This should feel very empowering and relaxing.
  • At the end of your intro session, I will record your self-hypnosis portion (about 5-10 minutes) and send it to you via a secure download link within the next 24 hours. This is your homework for the next week or so.
  • If you would like to continue to work with me after this, I will discuss how many sessions, and which payment package would be best for your goal.
     

Follow-up Session Rate (package of 3 or more): $170/session

Session by Session Follow-up Rate: $200/session
